Backstage

You actually found this page—

welcome.

If you're here, you probably care about how I work behind the scenes,
not just what the paintings look like.

Curious about me, huh?
Wondering, “Does this guy actually handle the practical stuff?”
I respect that kind of nosy curiosity—honestly, I kinda like it.
Since you made it this far, I’ll show you everything without hiding a thing.

Okay—sorry for messing around.
From here on, I’ll keep it straight.

If you intentionally found this page, you’re probably wondering things like:
“What’s this artist really like behind the scenes?”
“Is he someone who can actually work, or just another chaotic artistic type?”

To be honest, my career has been held together more by practical competence than by titles or pedigree.

I’ll list things out plainly—what I’ve actually done, and the kind of work I can handle.
If you're curious, feel free to reach out anytime.

Experience and Practical Scope

Communication

I reply to all emails within 24 hours—no exceptions.
Even when I’m swamped,
I always send a quick note like “I’ll reply by ___.”

Deadlines and Workload

I studied in a design-focused high school, where the first rule drilled into us was:
“Miss a deadline and you’re basically out.”

So yes—deadlines are sacred.

But showing up on time in the morning?
Yeah… that’s always been my weak spot. (Just being honest.)

Business Side

Estimates, invoices, and Japanese business paperwork are no problem.

For international formats, I double-check with AI tools to avoid mistakes.

Clear communication and fast replies are my strengths.

Shipping (Domestic / International)

I haven’t shipped abroad tons of times,
but I understand all the steps and cross-check everything so nothing falls through the cracks.

Production and Design

HTML / CSS / SEO:
all hand-coded by myself.
This entire English site is built manually.

Photoshop: 20+ years
Illustrator: 20+ years
InDesign: absolutely not my thing (I know within two seconds that I can’t do it.)

Word / Excel:
not great—hardly use them on Mac.
But with a template, I can handle the essentials.

I worked nearly a decade full-time at a web design company while maintaining my art practice.
So yes—I’m pretty sturdy when it comes to practical work.

Operations

Art school:
planning, running, and teaching are all done entirely solo.

Total students taught: 600+
Current students:
around 135 (as of Nov 26, 2025)

With 5–10 people cycling in and out each month, the admin load is high,
but I’m used to it.

I cannot remember every student’s name.
I’ve made peace with that.

Finally

If you want, try sending the contact form with an empty message.
I’ll reply the moment I notice it.
(If I’m asleep because of the time difference, please forgive me.)
